Please ignore the below, it is old and is simply used to remind us how far we have come, and what we have left to do

Weather System

Our weather system is unique, in that it will be more than just falling images - we will have actual storms, floods, tornados, earthquakes - buildings may be lost, and people may die.

Time

Our in-game time system will be 1 game-day per every real 6 hours, and 60 game days for every in-game year. This allows us to do special holiday events, more often.

Travel

Traveling will be done by foot (free), carriage (free, if you can find a ride or own your own), or horse; Horse will be the fastest, followed by carriage, and then foot.

Trade/Merchants

Our trade system will be unique, in that there will be 9 centralized areas for trading, one per city. Rather than "shouting" or "auctioning" your goods; You will be able to give them to a designated Non-Player Character, who will take a small percentage of each sell, but will be accessible by everyone (There will be 6 or so merchants - a weapon merchant, armor merchant, food merchant, etc. - this way everything is organized and easy to access).

Resources

Your field is ready to harvest, those trees are waiting to be cut down, that ore is perfect for smithing. Now what? You gather these resources; not by clicking a button, but rather through actual interaction.

Special Events

We will have special events as often as possible, possibly once a week or more - does this mean ONLY we can make events? Not even close! This is probably the biggest difference, in our game, that sets it apart from others - players will be able to create their own events, granted they have enough money, resources, and willing people.

Buildings

In the beginning, we will only have 9 basic villages, with the basic buildings: a dojo, the main family's mansion, etc.; its up to the players to build the rest. Our building system, will allow players (with enough money), to create their own buildings and possibly their own villages.

Factions

Unlike most other games, we will have three factions: Neutral (Peasants), shogun (those who follow a shogun), and rebellion (Those who attempt to rebel against the shogun). Each faction splits off into multiple, smaller factions: the rebels aren't limited to one group, players can create their own rebellion and control it as they wish.

Library

Users will have the ability to create 'books', and put them into the library. These books can range from information ( If you are good at alchemy, and found some combinations no one knows about - you can write a book on it ), to a story of your adventures; the only limits are your imagination.
