Items Overview
Our item system will differ from the majority of MMORPGs, in the fact that there will be no visible stats for damage, armor, strength, durability, etc.
Instead there will be complex system of material properties:
- Quality: A higher quality item made from higher quality materials will be harder to dull, break, or mishape. (Weapon or otherwise)
- Strength: Also effects the durability of items, however some items durability may rely solely upon strength and not upon its quality.
- Weight: A Heigher weight generally makes everything heavier, however; in the case of weaponry a heavier weapon may not always be stronger, nor slower. Momentum is a huge factor in weaponry and some heavy items have more momentum then others because of their design. Some light items, depending on how well they are crafted may be exponentially stronger then a similar item that is much heavier simply because of the quality.
These material properties determine the following in the final product:
- Durability:
- Splitability:
- Breakability:
- Crushability:
- Malleability:
- Conductivity:
- Volatility:
- Sharpness:
All in all, Quality, Strength and Weight have an effect on all items in Tatsumaki. Which property has more of an influence differs from item to item.
