Overview

Events in Tatsumaki will happen quite often, but will not provide any items of worth*.

Annual Events

Annual Events, such as the ones that happen in Japan - even up to today, will occur at roughly the same time their real life predecessor occurs;
These events include, but are not limited to:

  1. Takayama Matsuri: Large decorated floats, will be carried through each major city and into the country sides - with large light displays, as well as firework displays.
  2. Sakura Festival: While the name is not official, this holiday is used to celebrate the bloom and fall of Sakura trees; this will feature all of the sakura trees blooming/shedding their leaves - as well as a fireworks display at night. (These are two separate festivals)
  3. Japanese New Years: Lasting three days, this event will follow the basics of all other events - it will have a large fireworks display, that will last all night; however, this particular event will last for three days and nights.
  4. Tatsumaki Created Festivals: We will have NUMEROUS festivals that have never occurred in Japan, to increase community interaction.

Developer Events

We will have random events that further story lines, and just for fun - these events include but are not limited to:

  1. Villages being attacked: We'll randomly attack certain villages, just for fun; this will be a very rare event, but it will happen.
  2. New Fireworks: We will, on occasion - release new ideas for fireworks, and tell the players how to make them so they can expand upon them; these will be brilliant shows of light, that will be seen throughout the world.
  3. Story Development: While this is a broad event subject, these events will simply be used to expand certain stories throughout the game.

Player Created Events

Players will be allowed to create events, we will provide simple tools that are available to everyone; however, players must first have the following:

  1. Permission and a permit, for the area they are holding the event. (Must be received a real world week in advanced)
  2. The money to actually hold a somewhat exciting event.
  3. Enough players to jump start the event
  4. At least three days real world warning to all players near your event; this can be accomplished simply by putting up flyers, banners, and so on.

*As we have seen in many other games, giving out items, prizes, or anything along those lines - during special events, often leads to disaster; as events simply become known as “a way to get awesome gear” - and are far less appreciated by the players.
