We need more programmers!

March 07, 2007 - 08:25 AM Posted by Sykoi

Over the past year and a half, Jay, Aidamina and Martin have worked on their own, in their own respective fields to bring you Tatsumaki. This has meant that progress is slow, and will continue to be slow until we find more programmers.
That said, we are currently looking for:

  • Graphical programmer with at least a year and a half experience in OpenGL, and C++
  • Network programmer with at least two years experience with general network design
  • System programmer with at least three years experience in C++

All positions need to have actual active experience during the number of years specified... No "I learned C++ three years ago, and started using it again last week". We don't mean to be harsh on our recruitment policy, but the server, client, and our engine are all incredibly complex pieces of code that we have created ourselves, and lack in-depth documentation, as well as the obvious absence of someone to walk any new programmer through the code, with months of training.

Description of each position:
Graphical: Expand our current powerful engine to accompany shader 1.1 and no shader material system.
Network: Take some of the load off of Martin, and work on load balancing, among other things.
System: Work on both server and client to create game elements, and other various system related things.

And last but not least:
All of these are unpaying positions. Tatsumaki is created by a completely independent team with the desire to create something new, different, and expand the currently bland genre.
