Another dev journal by zorb

Well things are looking bright this morning! Well then again it could just be the stupid sun shining bright as hell as it always does in Florida! I woke up after a fairly decent night sleep sat down on my computer, fired up arch, popped in my maya for linux cd. Disc Read ERROR!!! NOOOOOO! Stupid wench! Anyhoo long story short, I’ve been trying to convert my models into tlaw model format. It’s a pretty simple process, but there are quite a few bugs in our converters. Sadly this is gonna give jay a headache =\

After a few hours playing around trying to get my models into our format, I just gave up ^^ its not my fault, just because we’re an indie team everyone uses different software. Anyhoo jay said he’s probably going to make a 3dsm friendly converter. In which case I’ll be pretty happy.

3d studio max is the BEST 3d program imo. I’ve used quite a few of them mind you. The only flaw I have with 3dsm is the lack of linux support (they’d kinda have to rewrite the whole program if they moved over to a multi-platform system)

Around 3pm or so my neighbor started vacuuming. So I popped on by and borrowed his vacuum cleaner. My room hasn’t been vacuumed in like 8 months lol. In the end I skipped English so I could get my room clean. I’m about an eighth of the way done and it’s like 6:30pm

I’m off work tomorrow, and though I have some school stuff I had to attend to, I should be able to finish another model for you the masses to see. Until then adios ^,~

Sorry to hear about the converters, and as an aspiring programmer, sounds like a headache. I personally choose Maya over 3d studio...but that's because I couldn't get/use the latter...
