What we've been up to
I would just like to make a new "What we've been up to" post to keep everyone up to date on our going ons....
Lately theres been some rumblings about how it seems we haven't done much, and this just isn't true, and I will explain whats going on but first I just have to get something off my chest:
We are an independent team, and I have personally spent over $2,500 on Tatsumaki.
"Well why don't you get a publisher or investor?"
Because by doing we lose all creative control, and 40-70% of our profits (Publisher), or have to become a publicly traded company (Investor) and have to answer to share holders... Either way its not good, and we end up having to make Tatsumaki into a WoW clone, which we definitely do not want.
I've had previous experience with both of these types of backers, and I do not ever want to see Tatsumaki succumb to their greed and unoriginal ideas.
Now for the updates!
Programmers
During the past few weeks, Jay has been working on various pieces of the client... And while none of them are all that exciting apart, together they form something that I'm sure you'll all be excited to see... What is it? Well, if I tell you - its not a surprise... And everyone loves surprises
As for martin and TJ, they have been working on the client server interaction in such a way that we're able to easily create various new features easily on both the server, and the client.
Modelers
After much thought, the modelers have decided to attack their task of creating new models, in an organized joint effort... Needless to say, expect to see a lot of new, amazing looking models on the site over the next few weeks.
My front
I've personally been working 12 hour days (Since mid December), trying to get our homegrown site engine (Which runs eyesoute.com) bug free, feature rich, and expanded with AJAX... And while the AJAX portion isn't quite ready, I'll probably be holding an open test and may possibly release it to the public. Its nothing special, but it handles user data in a pretty unique (to me, at least) way.
