Martin's introduction

February 16, 2007 - 12:21 PM Posted by Herede

Howdy folks!

Since this is my first devjournal post, I feel that I should properly introduce myself. My name is Martin (most of you will know me, if you know me at all, as herede) and I live in Sweden (if you have no idea where Sweden is located, don't worry - it's not unusual). I'm the lead - and only - server/network programmer currently working on Tatsumaki: Land At War. Among other things, I'm responsible for writing and maintaining the core server and the network engine. I also work with the system programmers to implement the gameplay on top of the server core.

This week has been pretty much consumed by work in school. As was last week. As was the week before that. But now I have 10 days off, so hopefully I will get a lot done next week *cheers*. That means I'll be working on the server intercom system (our server software will distribute load between physical machines, and hence they need means to communicate).

Well uh... I really don't have much to say for now. Remember, this is just my "intro post". Hopefully I won't be as boring in the future... I just wanted to show you guys that we're still working, as I know there has been a lack of updates for a long time by now.

- Martin

It's good to have some Scandinavian people on the T:LAW and EoE team!

(Btw: Sweden sucks, Finland rocks http://www.eyesoute.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
